Roger Paul Melton, 49, of 132 Lake Drive, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Melton was a son of Betty Elrod Melton of Easley and the late Stanley Paul (Red) Melton. He was a graduate of Easley High School and Greenville Technical College with an Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering. He also graduated from Motech Institute of Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Melton was formerly employed with Mayfair Mills-Glenwood Division and Elrod's Exxon.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a son J.P. Melton of Liberty; a daughter, Emily Melton of the home; a sister, Carol Melton Waters of Waterford, Michigan; a niece, Kelli Bernard; and a nephew, Todd Michael Waters. He was predeceased by a sister, Vickie Melton.
Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral
Home-Powdersville Road.
The family is at the home of his mother, 100 Couch Lane, Easley, SC 29642.
