Roger Morris, 62, of 803 Mountain Springs Road, died Thursday, November 29, 2007, at his home.

Born in Anderson County, a son of the late Pauline Wilson Morris, Mr. Morris was formerly a diesel mechanic and was a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church. He had served with the US Army.

Surviving are his loving wife of forty-two years, Linda Foster Morris of the home; three sons, Chris Morris and Allen Morris, both of Piedmont, and Joe Morris of Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Michelle Morris of the home; a brother, Cliff Morris of Dacusville; eight grandchildren, Allyson Morris, Jarrett Morris, Kelly Morris, Christy Morris, Anna Layne, Kayla Allen, Luke Varnadore and Foster Chandler Morris; and a special niece, Martha Jane Guthrie of Tavelers Rest. In addition to his mother, Mr. Morris was predeceased by three brothers, David, Eugene and Joe Allen Morris, and two sisters, Elee Brock and Mary Ellen Hughes.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, with Bill Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Liberty.

Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
