Romaine Wilson, 89, of Central, died Thursday, October 1, 2009.
Born in Central, a son of the late Edgar Eugene and Mattie Elrod Wilson, he was a retired employee of Anderson County School District and a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Margie Norris and husband, Bobby of Anderson, Betty Kelly and husband, Gary of Mountain Rest, SC and Vercel Norris and husband, John of Central; step-daughter, Sheri Bowie and husband, Larry, of Sunset; two brothers, Billy Ray Wilson of Six Mile and Cecil Wilson of Seneca; two sisters Francis Barker of Central and Genieve Fowler of Liberty; 9 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Pauline Kay Wilson and his second wife, Ruby Richie Cowan Wilson.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with Revs. Don Milstead and Jim Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of John and Vercel Norris, 164 Sheriff Road, Central, SC 29630.
