Ronald "Ron" Eugene Riley, 72, of Taylors, beloved husband of the late Martha Stover Riley, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Born on November 19, 1953, in Greenville County, to the late Eugene B. Riley and the late Helen Adams Riley. Ron was a great Christian man with strong faith. He was an active and cherished member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
Ron was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School and attended Anderson University, where he played college baseball.
He was an extremely hard worker, owning his own business selling office equipment until his retirement.
Know as witty and sweet, Ron also had an assertive nature to take control of getting things done. He always took care of his family, putting everyone above himself.
Ron was an avid golfer and was a member of a huge group of golfing buddies, known as the "Riley Crew". They would plan golfing trips while enjoying the mindful game and camaraderie, taking in the beauty of many courses.
In addition to his wife, He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Chaz Riley (Brittany) and grandsons, Cooper and Crews Riley who lovingly called him, "Papa Ron".
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Mt. Airy Baptist Church with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. Entombment will be held in the Chapel of Reflection of Robinson Memorial Gardens.
