Ronald Paul Barnette, 59, of 138 Ford Road, died Monday, January 12, 2009 at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Athens, GA, he was a son of Alma Jean Rooks Barnette of the home, and the late Walter Jackson Barnette. He held a B.S. Degree from Clemson University and worked at the Walker Golf Course in food services. He was a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church and the Sigma Nu Fraternity.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, Bradley Harris Barnette and wife Kimberly of Anderson; a daughter, Elizabeth Barnette Rogers and husband Andrew of Greenville; a brother, David Barnette and wife Judy of Williston; and two grandchildren, Caroline and Brayden Barnette.
Graveside services will be 2 PM Thursday in Barnwell County Memorial Park, Barnwell, SC (near airport), with Reverend Dr. Norman Rogers officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6 PM until 8 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clemson Foundation to establish the Ronald P. Barnette Scholarship in Agriculture; 110 Daniel Drive; Clemson, SC 29631.
