Ronald Dwaine Briggs, 57, of Easley, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014.
Born in Minneapolis, MN, a son of Joanne Jensen Briggs of Minneapolis, and the late Leroy Briggs, Mr. Briggs was Assistant General C&S with Norfolk Southern Railroad and had served with the US Army as a Green Beret.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Sherry Hilyer Briggs of the home; four sons, Daniel Briggs (Terinda) of Lawrenceville, GA, Jesse Briggs (Ashley) of Beaufort, Justin Briggs (Ana) of Iva, and Joseph Bush (Spring) of McDonough, GA; a daughter, Joelien Stingle (William) of Shelbyville, KY; three brothers, Victor Briggs (Dawn) of Raeford, NC, Mike Briggs of St. Michaels, MN, and Jeffery Briggs of Athens, GA; two sisters, Susan Salo (Rick) and Betty Emery (Doug), all of Minneapolis, MN; and nine grandchildren, Karlena, Aidan, Caitlin, McKenzie, Graden, Bodi, Laila, Thoner and Hilyer. In addition to his father, Mr. Briggs was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Briggs.
Private memorial services will be held by the family.
