Ronald Kenneth Mauldin, 82, of Dacusville, a kind-hearted and hardworking individual, passed away on August 27, 2023, at his home. He was born on July 7, 1941, in Greenville, SC.

Ronald dedicated himself to a career as a truck driver for Winn-Dixie for an impressive 40 years. Even after retiring from Winn-Dixie, he continued his passion for truck driving by joining B and D Logging. Ronald's commitment and expertise in his profession were highly regarded by colleagues and industry peers alike.

Outside of his career, Ronald possessed various interests and hobbies that brought him immense joy. He found solace in spending time outdoors while hunting and fishing. Ronald also had a green thumb and took pride in gardening. 

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Doris Lyda Mauldin.  Additionally, he leaves behind two children; Renee Kimberly Mauldin "Kim" Jones (Benny) of Greenville and Ronald Kenneth "Kenny" Mauldin Jr. (Kim) of Berea. Among those mourning Ronald's passing is also his grandson Dalton Jones.

While we mourn the loss of a remarkable man like Ronald Kenneth Mauldin, we take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his parents, Willie Benjamin Mauldin and Viola Luther Mauldin, and his brothers, James Mauldin and Harold Mauldin.

Ronald will always be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his warm smile, and his kind heart. He touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire others. May he rest in peace as we hold onto the cherished memories we have of him.

 

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Greenville Post Acute Care for the wonderful care each employee provided to Mr. Mauldin during the past two weeks.

 

A graveside service will be held to honor Ronald's life on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC, 29673.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to Scenic Hills Baptist Church, 10 Old Highway 25, Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
