Ronald Dudley Stone

Ronald Dudley Stone, also known as "Ron," was born on July 29th, 1957, in Augusta, GA to Charlie Stone of Augusta, GA and the late Louise Fulmer Stone. On May 27th, 2023, Ron passed away at his home leaving behind a legacy of love and memories.

Ron was a dedicated family man who cherished his loved ones deeply. He had a happy 28-year marriage to his beloved wife, Lynda Ann Lockaby Stone. 

In addition to spending time with his family, Ron enjoyed pursuing various hobbies. He had a passion for playing golf and collecting baseball paraphernalia. He also loved watching NASCAR races.

In addition to his wife, Lynda, he is survived by four children: Donald Lee Lockaby, Windy Simmons Stone, Matthew Berry Simmons (Cindy Mack), and Erica Rae Carter; his sister, Charlene Stone Head (Roger). Ron was also a proud grandfather to Daniel Lee, Brittany "Bee" King (Noah), Michael Simmons (Kylie), Dillan Lockaby, Chandler Berry Simmons, Justin Leonard James Black; and great-grandfather to Hayden, RyLeigh, Chris, Eliana, Lacy, and Alyssa. His kind heart and generous spirit will be missed by those he left behind.

Ron is predeceased by his mother Lois Fulmer Stone; brother Hal Ashley Stone; and granddaughter Heather Ann Lockaby. They will all be dearly remembered.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home Downtown, 305 West Main Street in Easley SC.
