Ronald "Ronnie" Jay Gilstrap, 69, of 103 Oaklane Drive, and husband of Judy Hammett Gilstrap, passed away Thursday May 17, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Gilstrap was born in Easley, a son of Janie McGaha Gilstrap and the late Wayne H. Gilstrap. He was a 1960 graduate of Easley High School. He retired from Fort Hill Natural Gas after 25 years of service and later retired from Gilstrap's Grocery. He was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are a son, Kevin Gilstrap and his wife, Kim, of Easley; two brothers, Jerry Gilstrap and Danny Gilstrap, both of Easley; grandchildren, Kristi Clements and her husband, Brandon, Alex Gilstrap and his fiance, Amanda Norton and Andrew Gilstrap.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
