Ronnie "Ron" Edward King, 67, of 213 Pine Ridge Drive, passed away Tuesday March 15, 2011 at McCall Hospice House.

Mr. King was born in Campbell, Missouri, a son of Wanda Schaffer King, of South Lyon, Michigan and the late Wesley Eugene King. He was a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy and retired in 2001 from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of Easley First Baptist Church and enjoyed working outside in his yard, hunting and golfing.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Judith Ann Bennett King, of the home; a son, James Wesley King and his wife, Mary, of West Virginia; a daughter, Janiece King Robinson and her husband, Ross, of Greenville, SC; three brothers, DeWayne King and his wife, Ann, of Tomball, Texas, Morris King and his wife, Diane, of Monroe, Georgia and Rickey King, of South Lyon, Michigan; two sisters, Brenda King Kenan and her husband, Dave, of Royal Oak, Michigan and Glenda King Phillips and her husband, Jack, of Ferndale, Michigan; grandchildren, Claire, Brock, Spencer and Scott Robinson; a special uncle, Russell King, of Simpsonville, SC; and a brother-in-law, Larry Bennett and his wife, Lisa, of Troy, Michigan.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Zelda King.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Easley First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. John Adams and the Reverend Ross Robinson officiating. Private burial will be in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road and also from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, prior to the service, at the church.

The family is at the home, 213 Pine Ridge Drive, Easley.
