Ronny Marchbanks, 66, of Thalia Lane, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Thomas and Evie Stone Marchbanks, Ronny was formerly co-owner of M&M Service Center and a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church where he belonged to the New Beginngs Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Hooper Marchbanks of the home; a son, Michael Marchbanks (Jamie) of Easley; a daughter, Kim Camp (Robby) of Pickens; a brother, Wayne Marchbanks (Laverne) of Piedmont; a sister, Carol Phillips (Wylie) of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Logan Camp, Casey Sutherland and Katie Briggs Marchbanks; and his in-laws, Tilman and Christine Hooper of Easley. In addition to his parents, Ronny was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Marchbanks.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday at Jones Avenue Baptist Church. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown and will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM Thursday where the family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 PM, prior to the service.

The family is at the home of Kim and Robby Camp, 122 Aiken Farm Road, Pickens, SC 29671.
