Ronny Wayne Williamson, 70, of 241 Willow Court and formerly of Natchez, MS, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC.
Born in Eureka, CA, he was a son of the late Travis and Izola Irene Atkins Williamson. Ronny was a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi, a retired US Postal Employee and former owner of the Plant Ridge Grocery in Natchez, MS. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Lake St. John Community Baptist Church in Ferriday, LA.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Ann Maxie Williamson of the home; daughter, Rhonda Williamson Buford of Clemson; son, Harlan Travis Williamson and wife, Jessica of Picayune, MS; sisters, Patsy Kile of Downsville, LA and Amaryles Williams of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Jackson Carl Buford, Daniel Andrew Buford, Jordan Sydney Williamson and Liam Joseph Williamson.
A local visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday at Lake St. John Community Baptist Church in Ferriday, LA with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez, MS.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Laird Funeral Home, 408 N. Union Street, Natchez, MS 39120.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to OMC Foundation, For Hospice, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672
