Rosa Suddeth

Rosa Gillespie Suddeth, 90, formerly of South Second Street and The Magnolia's, wife of the late Bill Suddeth, died Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Blue Ridge Living Center.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Jane Whitlock Gillespie, Mrs. Suddeth retired from the Easley Plant of Woodside Mills and was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Jerril Suddeth (Linda), James Suddeth (Nancy), and Larry Suddeth (Deb), all of Easley; a daughter, Joan Ellis (Bob), of Easley; a brother, James Gillespie of Anderson; two sisters, Katherine Mitchell of Pendleton and Edith White of Central; a special sister-in-law, Pearl Sudduth; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and special nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Suddeth was predeceased by a sister, Eva Nell Albertson, and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob Teat.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Phillip McAlister and Rev. Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
