Rosamond S. Sheriff

Rosamond S. Sheriff, 89, of 562 Sheriff Mill Road, husband of the late Mae Day Sheriff, died Friday, February 19, 2010, at Blue Ridge Living Center.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late James Franklin and Mary Ellen Cargill Sheriff, Mr. Sheriff retired as owner/operator of Sheriff's Garage and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. He was a member of Bates Masonic Lodge, a Shriner and a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Sheriff was a member of the Woodman of the World where he was the last surviving member of the Camp 379 Drill Team.
Surviving are a son, Bob Sheriff and wife, Judy, of Easley; a daughter, Brenda Brown and husband, James, of Easley; three sisters, Stella Barbrey, Sara Pickens and Mary Nalley, all of Easley; four grandchildren, Gail Barnum, Jammie Bonham, Bonnie Stewart and Scott Sheriff; six great-grandchildren, Adrianne Looper, Shay Vinson, Chad Stewart, Corey Bonham, Andrew Sheriff and Erica Sheriff: and three great-great-grandchildren, Noah and Abby Looper and Landen Vinson. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Sheriff was predeceased by two brothers, George Sheriff and Bruce Sheriff and a sister, Lettie Hughes.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Cox and Rev. Scott Sheriff officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown and will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday where the family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m., prior to the service.
