Roscoe Ball, 83, of 104 Kelly Court, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at C.M. Campbell Veterans Center.
Born in New Port, TN, the son of the late John and Rebecca Gilliland Ball, Mr. Ball retired from Saco-Lowell and was a veteran of World war II having served with the US Navy. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Elsa C. Ball of Greenville; a daughter, Phyllis Burgess Carls and husband, Mike, of Easley, two grandchildren, Tiffany Burgess Goodnough and husband, Michael, Noel Burgess Holcombe and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ball was predeceased by his first wife, Marion Harbin Ball, and by three brothers, Stanley Ball, Lester Ball and J.C. Ball.
Memorial sevices will be held at a later date.
Family members are at their respective homes.
