Rose Louise Gladys Busby

Rose Louise Gladys Beament Busby, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, has passed away at the age of 86. Born on January 8, 1937 in London, England, Rose lived a remarkable life filled with love, independence, and meaningful connections. With her kind heart and nurturing spirit, Rose touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

Rose found fulfillment in her career as an Administrative Assistant with Crane Chevrolet.  Outside of her professional endeavors, Rose had a vibrant life that brought joy to both herself and those fortunate enough to know her. She had a deep appreciation for the arts and spent countless hours watching musicals and old movies. Her love for literature was insatiable, as she was always engrossed in a new book in her leisure time.

Known for her independence and determination, Rose demonstrated that strength comes from within. She approached life with unwavering resilience and faced challenges head-on without ever losing sight of her values. A highlight of Rose's life was being a mother to her children. Rose also embraced the role of being a grandmother with open arms and treasured every moment spent with her two grandchildren. Rose had an affinity for animals throughout her life but found delight in the company of cats. Their companionship brought warmth to her heart and added so much joy to her daily life. She sadly leaves Miss Prissy behind.

Rose's memory lives on through her surviving family members and dear friends. Left to cherish Rose’s memories are her son, Craig Busby; a daughter, Reynette Rhodes; her grandchildren, Ethan Rhodes and Lillian Rhodes, who carry with them her legacy. Also surviving are her sisters, Georgina John and Grace McLean. Joining Rose in eternal rest are her father, George Frederick Beament; her mother, Grace Emma High Beament; and a sister, Jean Watson; a granddaughter, Mary Ellison Rhodes. While their passing has left a void in the lives of those who loved them, their memories will forever be cherished.

A graveside service to honor the life of Rose Louise Gladys Beament Busby will take place at 2:30 PM Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Robinson Memorial Garden cemetery on Powdersville Road in Easley, South Carolina.
