Roy Wilson Jennings, Jr. of Southway Street, husband of Phyllis Davis Jennings, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 18, 2016 after a long courageous battle with his illness.


Born in Batavia, NY, he is a son of Lila Holtz Jennings of Easley and the late Roy Wilson Jennings.


Mr. Jennings was an Independent Truck Driver. He was an active member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church and loved the outdoors.


In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Scott Jennings (Eva) of Mansfield, TX and Steven Jennings (Audrey) of Easley; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Jack Jennings of Easley; and three sisters, Beverly Hand of Pickens, Barbara Paris of Easley and Anita Rayne of Taylors.


Mr. Jennings was predeceased by a sister, Diana Lindsey.


The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. David Chang and the staff of Easley Internal Medicine for the compassionate care they received during Mr. Jennings illness.


A service to celebrate Mr. Jennings life will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Geer Memorial Baptist Church with burial to follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.


The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the church.
