Roy Johnson

Mr. Roy Lynch Johnson, husband of the late Martha Howe Johnson, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, March 8, 2024.
Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Thomas Johnson and the late Leona Allison Johnson. Surviving are his son, Roy Lee Johnson (Miriam) of Easley; his three daughters, Rita Faye Burke (Tim) of Pickens, Shelia Cleveland (Novie) of Honea Path, and Tammy Olivares of Easley; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Johnson was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Johnson received his Associate Degree in HVAC from Greenville Technical College and retired as a district maintenance supervisor with Winn Dixie with forty years of service. He lived his life to follow Jesus, dedicating close to forty years of service at Jones Avenue Baptist Church. He served our nation in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was an active member of the Masons for over fifty years. An IPTAY member since 1964, he was a diehard Clemson fan.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Monday, March 11, 2024 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted, and memorials may be made in memory of Roy to the Upstate Branch of Providence Care Hospice, 634 Fairview Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680; or to Clemson Heritage Senior Living, 140 Cambridge Drive, Clemson, SC 29631.
