William Roy McNeely, 90, of Piedmont, husband of the late Sara Stegall McNeely, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at his home.
Born January 29, 1925 in Anderson County, he was a son of the late William Herman McNeely and Alma Childress McNeely. He was a US Army veteran, a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and the Genesis Sunday School Class.
Mr. McNeely is survived by his children, Judy Roulette, Michael McNeely (Brenda), Shirley Wilson, Tony McNeely and Ray McNeely (Cindy); brother, Carl McNeely; sisters, Betty Bryant, Lucia Belcher and Frances McDaniel; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Wesley McNeely, Paul McNeely, Janie Slater, Catherine Ballew, Nettie Stegall and Tom McNeely.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
