Royce (Roy) Eugene Vander Voord, 89, husband of Phyllis Brady Vander Voord, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at his home.
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a son of the late Frank and Elsa Olson Vander Voord, Mr. Vander Voord was the owner-operator of Vander Voord Construction Company. He was a member of Congregational Church in Lake Worth, Florida, and was a US Army Veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty-five years, are a daughter, Lori Law (Michael); two sons, Dale and Gary Vander Voord; two brothers, Frank and Gerald Vander Voord; and a granddaughter, Rachel Law. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vander Voord was predeceased by his twin brother, Roger Vander Voord.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Society of Greenville, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605.
