Ruben Contreras Mendoza, 74, of Easley, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Home.
A native of Chihuahua, Mexico and California. Ruben was a veteran of the US Army. He worked for many years in the family roofing business and retired to South Carolina to be closer to his family.
He is survived by his two daughters, Alena Marchbanks and Rebecca Montoya; step children, Phillip Hare and Cara Reyes; four grandchildren; three brothers, Joe ,Peter and Abraham; two sisters, Hilda Stevens and Mary Martinez; and his ex-wife and dear friend, Linda Madison.
Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Vicenta Mendoza and his brother, Eli.
The family will host memorial services at 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 at Faith Life Church, 16 South Commerce Street, Liberty, SC 29657.
