Ruby Lee Parsons Caddell, 82, of 165 McGaha Road, died Monday, October 8, 2007 at her home.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Sherman and Minnie Aiken Parsons. She formerly worked for Singer corporation and was a member of Mile Creek Baptist Church and the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class, which will serve as Honorary Escorts.
Surviving are her husband, Harold George Caddell of the home; a daughter, Kathy Rice and husband Dave of Liberty; a sister, Lucille Simmons of Pickens; and two grandsons, Nathan Rice and Matthew Rice. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Garland Parsons.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Mile Creek Baptist Church with Reverends Lester Collins, Jimmy Parsons, and David Howe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and will be placed in the church at 10:00 AM on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class of Mile Creek Baptist Church; c/o Mrs. Agnes Duncan, Treasurer; 335 Brandy Lane; Pickens, SC 29671.
