Ruby Bowers Hammond, 91, formerly of Crescent Street, wife of the late William Boyd Hammond, Sr., passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at Capstone Health & Rehab.
Born in Royston, GA, a daughter of the late Gordon and Pearl Flemming Bowers, Mrs. Hammond retired from Piedmont Shirt Company after forty-two years of service and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two sons, William Boyd Hammond, Jr., (Charlene) of Nashville, TN, and Stewart Hammond (Katherine) of Easley; a sister, Frances Bryant (Walter) of Bowman, GA; and three grandchildren, Brett Hammond, Lonnie Hammond and Steven Rocky Hammond.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family is at the home of Stewart and Katherine Hammond, 100 Crescent Street, Easley, SC 29642.
