Mrs. Ruby Raines Hayes, 79, wife of the late Charles E. Hayes, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital-Downtown.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Roy and Otis Lillian Hunter Raines, Mrs. Hayes was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She sang in the church choir, where she performed solos glorifying the Lord, and took great pleasure being a witness for the Lord by traveling and singing with her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Jan Brown (Jeff), Rhonda Clark, and Lynn Hayes, all of Easley; one brother, James Raines of Pickens; two sisters, Florence Couch and Peggy Noblitt, both of Easley; four grandchildren, Josh and Lee Clark, Lauren Brown, and Bailey Albertson; and four great-grandchildren, Zoe Hester, Zack, Elisha, and Abigail Clark. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hayes was predeceased by a son, Stephen Hayes; and two brothers, Preston and Ramond Raines;

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Mt. Sanai Baptist Church with Rev. Rudy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:15 PM Saturday at the church, prior to the service.

The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Jeff Brown, 122 Thalia Lane, Easley, SC 29642.
