Ruby Lee Smith Johnson, 73, of 3 Welcome View Drive, went to be with the Lord Wednesday October 31, 2007 at her home.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Belton, SC, a daughter of the late Homer Nathaniel and Edith Barkley Smith. She was a retired teacher and musician in Honduras where she and her husband served as missionaries. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Honduras.
Surviving are her husband, the Reverend William Carlos Johnson, Sr., of the home; sons, Steven Anthony Johnson, of Raleigh, NC, William "Bill" Carlos Johnson, Jr., and his wife, Wanda Faye of Easley and David Bradley Johnson and his wife Faye, of Greenville; daughters, Carole Annette Fruscello and her husband, John, of Six Mile and Sandy Johnson, of Summerville; brothers, Harold Eugene Smith, of The Villages, Florida and Roy Nathaniel Smith, of Greenville; a sister, Betty Lou Duncan, of Greenville; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, conducted by the Reverend Dr. Sammy Kay. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
