Ruby Lowery Merck, 91, of 314 Smith Memorial Highway and widow of Jay Merck, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Toccoa, GA, she was a daughter of the late Monroe and Elizabeth Adams Lowery. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Charles Merck and wife, Debbie; daughters, Marie Crane and husband, Frank and Fae Kelly all of Six Mile; son-in-law, Criss Crisson of Pennsacola, FL; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and special friend Charles Stubblefield of Six Mile.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Jannie Crisson; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.

The family is at the home of daughter, Marie Crane, 240 Smith Memorial Highway, Central, SC 29630.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 3041 Six Mile Road, Central, SC 29630.
