Ruby Nell Clardy Sherman, 92, formerly of 2728 Highway 86, died Tuesday May 12, 2009 at Countryside Village.
Mrs. Sherman was born in Georgia, wife of the late Dennis James Sherman and daughter of the late Lester and Ellie White Clardy.
She was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for 25 years and was a member of the choir.
Surviving is a son William D. (Bill) Sherman (Louise) of Piedmont ; three sisters, Eddie Sue Bailey of Augusta, GA, Velma Shockley of Florida, and Alverna Hawkins of Orville, California. One grandson, William Michael (Mike) Sherman (Rebecca) of Elberton, GA and two great-grandchildren Lana and Jacy Sherman.
In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Sherman was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Haley Clardy and two sisters, Ina Pack and Helen Henderson.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2009.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Airy Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mt. Airy Baptist Church Building Fund, 210 Mt. Airy Church Rd. Easley SC 29642.
