Mrs. Ruby Evatt Smith, 76, wife of Robert Edward "Bob" Smith, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at her home.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Bruce Robert Evatt and the late Dora Marie Hayes Evatt, Mrs. Smith was a Paralegal and retired from Pickens County Family Court. She was a member of Fellowship Community Church, Liberty.

Ruby loved life, but her greatest love was her family and grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-seven years, are two daughters, Sherri S. Clowser and her husband, George William Clowser, III of Lancaster, VA, and Gayla S. Smith and her husband, Tony Smith of Liberty; a sister, Bethel Hudson and her husband, Charles of Pickens; three grandchildren, Nikki Smith, Justin Smith and Tensley Clowser; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was predeceased by a brother, Jesse Bruce Evatt; and a sister, Ethel Smith.

The family will host a memorial service at noon Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Fellowship Community Church, 1301 Greenville Highway, Liberty, SC 29657.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM Thursday at the church, prior to the service.

The family is at the home.
