Ruth V. Burdette

Ruth Vickery Burdette, 92, formerly of 128 Sabra Drive, died Saturday March 10, 2007 at Oakmont West Nursing Center.
Born in Franklin County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Ira Walton and Lallie Anne Griffin Vickery. Mrs. Burdette retired from Swirl, Inc and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church where she was a past teacher of the Dorcas Sunday School Class and was past President and a 5 Star recepient of United Methodist Women. She was also a past President of the Friendship Community Garden Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Lallie Anne Keith and Carolyn Smith and her husband Jason, all of Easley ; two sisters, Ira Nell Clark, of Pickens and Sara V. Emory, of Easley ; four grandchildren, Angela Ruth Scott, of Easley, Rev. Reginald "Reggie" Robert Smith, of Greenville, Robert Stephen Keith, of Anderson and Nathan Andrew Keith, of Greenville ; four great-grandchildren, Alexis Elizabeth Scott, James Tyler Scott, Joelson Elliott Keith and Madeline Adele Keith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert "Bob" Wesley Burdette and a brother, A.B. "Bernice" Vickery.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Monday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, conducted by the Reverend Reggie Smith, Mr. Robert Stephen Keith and Mr. Nathan Andrew Keith. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family is at the home, 128 Sabra Drive, Easley, and will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:45 pm Monday at the funeral home, before the service.
