Ruth Carroll Wehner Cantrell, 93, of 109 Park Drive, wife of the late David DeVore Cantrell, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Baptist Easley Hospital.

Born in Greenville, Mrs. Cantrell was a daughter of the late Otto John and Jennie Lee Greene Wehner. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and was the former owner and operator of Carroll Lee Dress Shop. Mrs. Cantrell was a member of First United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Wesley Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women. She was a long time Sunday School Teacher. She was active in West End Elementary PTA, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and she was a member of Child Study Club.

Surviving are a son, David DeVore Cantrell, Jr. (Linda) of Easley; two daughters, Sallie Lee Cantrell of Stone Mountain, GA, and Susan Cantrell Little (Jim) of Taylors; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Little, Michelle Little, Tommy Jones, Christian Jones, Chad Jones, Eric Cantrell, Adam Cantrell, Abby Cantrell, and Heather Cantrell; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cantrell was predeceased by four sisters, Mary, Jennie Lee, Maude, and Margaret.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Sunday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery, Easley.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
