Margie Ruth Stephens Gaffin , 77, of 204 Mountain View Drive, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late William Hovey and Bessie Kennemore Stephens, Mrs. Gaffin was a homemaker and a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Ray Allen Gaffin, Sr., of the home; two sons, Ray Allen "Al" Gaffin, Jr., of Spartanburg and Danny Lee Gaffin, of Pickens; three daughters, Patricia Ann Heard, of Marshall, Texas, Sharon Sue Britton, of Ovilla, Texas and Pamela Jean McElrath, of Liberty ; a brother, Leon Stephens,of Hendersonville, NC; two sisters, Edith McCollum of Easley and Nancy Johnson of Liberty; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gaffin was preceded in death by a son, James William Shirley, two brothers, Ivey Stephens and Cecil Stephens.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 am Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, conducted by the Reverend Archie Sharp.
The family is at the home.
