Ruth Hood Hester

Ruth Hood Hester, 103, of Easley, wife to the late Julius "Juke" Hester, passed away October 14, 2020.
Born in Easley, she was the daughter of the late James and Nellie Cothran Hood. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hester is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy H. Ellison-Welborn (Mike); grandchildren, Angie Moody (Rick), Jan Hester and Kim Freeman (Todd); great-granddaughter, Emily Freeman Albertson (Brett); great-grandson, Ben Freeman.
She is predeceased by her husband, parents, son, Benny Hester, brothers, Gene Hood and James Hood and sister, Lucille Putnam.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
