Ruth Fagan Roper, 88, of 124 Ridge Road, Greenville, died July 4, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Roper was the daughter of the late Sam and Ida Cornwell Fagan of Sandy Plains, NC. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Fulton F. Roper.
She was a graduate of Green Creek High School and was a lifelong homemaker. Mrs. Roper was a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, serving in the Sandy Plains and Greenville congregations. She was active in Women�??s Ministries, Circles, and prepared meals for Wednesday night services for many years. Serving others through her gift of cooking was her passion and a ministry that endeared her to those in her Church. Ruth will be missed and will be fondly remembered by the many whose lives she touched.
Mrs. Roper is survived by a son, Reverend Samuel Roper and his wife, Pamela of Gray Court; and two grandsons, Joey and Michael Roper.
Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 7 at the Greenville ARP Church.
The family will receive friends from 9:45- 10:45 Saturday prior to the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenville ARP Church, 741 Cleveland Street, Greenville, S.C. 29601, or to Ora ARP Church, 23420 Highway 221 North, Gray Court, S.C. 29645.
