Ruth Brooks Woods, 83, formerly of Old Pond Road and wife of the late Jack Edward Woods, went to her heavenly home on Saturday August 12, 2017.

Born in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Annie Crowe Brooks.

Mrs. Woods was a 1952 graduate of Easley High School and was retired from Alice Manufacturing, Arial Plant. She was a lifelong member of Arial Baptist Church, a member of the Grace Sunday School Class and was very active in the church's outreach programs. She loved her family, enjoyed gardening, quilting helping and caring for others.

Surviving are her children, R. Dean Woods of Anderson, Keith Woods (Donna) of Gaffney, and Jean Crenshaw (Roger) of Pickens; granddaughters, Elisabeth Whatley (Shane) of Greenville, Robin Walsh (Anthony) of Easley, Nicole Lowe (Tyler) of Lake Wylie and Natalie Southgate of Atlanta; and great grandchildren, Abby, Elle, Chapman, Aiden, Bo and Graeme.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Brooks, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arial Baptist Church, 618 Rice Road, Easley, SC 29640 or the charity of one's choice.

The family will be at their respective homes.
