Ruthell Porter Ragsdale, 82, of 100 North Dale Drive, wife of the late James H. Ragsdale, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 17, 2007, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Pickens County, Mrs. Ragsdale was a daughter of the late Elbert T. and Ruth Freeman Porter. She retired from the Quilt Gallery and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Phil Ragsdale and his wife, Ginger, of Easley; a daughter, Mim Putnam and her husband, Wayne, of Seneca; a sister, Minnie Gantt of Easley; three grandchildren, Kristen J. Ragsdale, Brian J. Ragsdale and Ty Medlin; and two sisters-in-law, Gladys Ragsdale and Violet Porter. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ragsdale was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Ruth Ragsdale.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 301 University Ridge, Greenville, SC 29601.
