Ryan Gilstrap Hoffmann

February 28, 1977 — February 7, 2019

Ryan Gilstrap Hoffmann, 41, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Jeannie Whitlock Hoffmann and the late James Armstrong Hoffman. Ryan was a 1995 graduate of Easley High School, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of South Carolina.

An aspiring entrepreneur, Ryan worked in various positions throughout his life. He was a sports fanatic completely dedicated to the Chicago Cubs and his Carolina Gamecocks. He was passionate about animals, and enjoyed studying geography, astronomy and meteorology. He was larger than life and we will miss him greatly.

Surviving are his brother, James "Jae" Crawford Hoffmann of Atlanta, GA; aunt, Nancy Hoffmann Collins; uncles, Dr. George Peter Hoffmann, III and William Andrew Hoffmann; and a host of cousins and dear friends who were like his family.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607.
