Samuel Eugene "Gene" Phillips, 41, of 301 Old Salem Road died Saturday night in his home.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Deborah Myers Brown of Anderson and the late Jerry Hamlet Phillips.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a sister Kristin Fisher and husband, Seth of Anderson; brother James Hamlet Phillips of Central; maternal grandmother Ruth Myers of Lakeland, FL; and paternal grandfather Hamlet Phillips of Central.
In addition to his father he was predeceased in death by his maternal grandfather James H. Myers and his paternal grandmother Mary Sue Phillips.
Memorial services will be 4 PM, Friday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
The family will greet people immediately following the service at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Kristen and Seth Fisher, 110 Taylors Trail, Anderson, SC 29621.
