Sallie Taylor Bidez, 90, of 205 Bud Nalley Drive, formerly of the Seneca/Clemson area, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at Foothills Presbyterian Home.

Born in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Alfred George and Alice Jacques Taylor. She graduated from Stephens College, the State University of Iowa, and did graduate work at Northwestern University. Professionally she was a guidance counselor and has worked in various capacities with young people through Girl Scouts, teaching Sunday School, high school youth counselor, college orientation and advisor of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was a homemaker and a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson.

Surviving are her husband, Leo Adair Bidez of the home; a daughter, Sally Swayze of Bethany Beach, DE; a son-in-law, Dick Powers of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Bidez of Nashville, TN; and six grandchildren, Lisa and Scott Swayze, Melinda and David Powers, and Kristin and Lauren Bidez.

A memorial service will be 3 PM Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Forthill Presbyterian Church with Reverend Mary Gause officiating.

The family will receive friends in the Tartan Hall following the memorial service.
