Sallie Rebecca Jameson Von Kaenel, 92 years old, widow of John C. Von Kaenel passed away on December 3rd. She was the last surviving member of the family of Thomas Milton & Minnie Lee Cox Jameson of Easley. She was pre-deceased by seven brothers and four sisters. A long time member of First Baptist Church of Clemson, she was also a charter member of the Cherokee Garden Club, a former member of Clemson University Women's Club and Newcomers Club.
She received her education at Easley High School, Draughns Business College and Winthrop College.
Surviving are four sons, John J. Von Kaenel, Hoyt F. Von Kaenel, Thomas D. Von Kaenel, and Karl M. Von Kaenel, three granddaughters, two grandsons, one great granddaughter, and one great grandson.
Private services were held on December 5th. A life celebration event will be planned for a future date in 2017.
