Sally J. Hansen

January 28, 1932 - August 18, 2021

Sally Joan Norton Hansen, 89, a long-time resident of Easley, SC passed away on August 18, 2021 in College Station, Texas. Sally had moved to College Station in April to be closer to family. She was born in Canton, NY to Charles and Elsie Cole Norton and grew up on the family farm as the 7th of 9 children. Sally married Milton Hansen in 1950 in Gouverneur, NY. They raised 2 sons there before moving to Easley in 1977.

Sally is now reunited with her husband Milt and her son Eric. She is survived by her son Mikkel and his wife Sally of College Station, TX, two granddaughters Kristin and Stephanie, their husbands Ryan and Chris, and by three great-grandsons. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret and Shirley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sally greatly enjoyed family and friends, church at Easley Presbyterian, golf and her many bridge clubs. She enthusiastically researched her family tree and belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She loved to travel, was an avid reader and book club member, was an investor with the Dow Janes and always enjoyed crossword puzzles and word jumbles.
Mom, Aunt Sally, Gramma and Great-Gramma will be sorely missed.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 27th in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with the Rev. Dr. Christie S. Gravely officiating. Scroll to the video player below to view the service. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am.
