Mr. Samuel Clifton Powell, 80, husband of Bonnie Crowe Powell, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Manna Health and Rehab.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Forrest Freeman Powell and the late Mae Robinson Powell, Mr. Powell retired from Alice Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. He was a US Air Force Veteran.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of fifty-three years, are two sons, Gregory Scott Powell (Jenny) of Charleston, and Randal Eugene Powell (Debbie) of Easley; three brothers, Forest Powell (Linda), Carl Powell (Karen), and Steve Powell, all of Pickens; three sisters, Doris Garrett (Harold) of Six Mile, Louise Pace (Joe), and Martha Porter (David), all of Pickens; and three grandchildren, Nathan Powell (Julie) of Fletcher, NC, Jon Powell of Summerville, and Kylie Powell of Easley. In addition to his parents, Mr. Powell was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Powell, and a sister, Millie O'Donald.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2016 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
