Mr. Samuel "Ford" Dodgens, 74, husband of Cathleen "Kay" Woody Dodgens, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at his home.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Furman Alfred Dodgens, Sr. and the late Dolly Beatrice Lesley Dodgens, Mr. Dodgens was a retired carpenter.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are a son, Carl Steven Proctor of Easley; a daughter, Lynn Harbin of Easley; two brothers, Van Dover Dodgens of Six Mile, and Wayne Bertran Dodgens of Liberty; a sister, Frances Hendricks of Six Mile; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dodgens was predeceased by six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Visitation will be from 2:30 PM until 3:45 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

The family is at the home.
