Samuel Ray Miles

Samuel Ray Miles, 72, widower of Wanda Marie Knight Miles, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at his home.
Sam was born in Greer, SC, a son of the late William Charles and Myrtle Inez Blackwell Miles. He was a retired welder and commercial truck driver. Sam attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Central where his daughter is a loyal member of the choir. He loved Clemson sports and anything concerning science fiction. Sam was known as a lovable goofball and always had a smile on his face.
Surviving are his daughter, Serena S. Miles of Greenville; sister, Vicki Alexander of Liberty; brother, Edward Miles of High Point, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Sam was predeceased by a brother, Lannie Miles.
Memorial services will be 1 PM, Monday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Central, SC.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church.
