Samuel R. Scott

Samuel "Sam" Ralph Scott, of Easley, and husband of the late Sylvia Mae Hall Scott, passed away Saturday February 23, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Scott was born in Williamson, West Virginia, the son of the late Samuel R. Scott, Sr and Edith Clara Sammons Scott. He retired from Norfolk - Southern Railroad after 39 years of service and was a member of the Masons and the Woodmen of the World. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of W.W.II and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Susan Hatfield (Don) and Elaine Booten (Ed); a son, Ralph Randall Scott (Tamie); a brother, Alfred Glen Scott ; a sister, Ella Francis Kimball ; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Larry Jack Scott.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial with military honors will be 11:00 AM Thursday in Mountain View Memory Gardens in Maher, West Virginia.
Visitation will be from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM Wednesday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
