Sandra "Sandy" Lee Annette Hughes Dacus, 72, wife of Allen Harold Dacus, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, February 7, 2021.
Born in Honea Path, a daughter of the late Thomas "Huck" Hughes and the late Bernice Smith Hughes, she was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed traveling, shopping, flowers, gardening, and spending time with her family. Sandy was a Special Education teacher for Pickens County, where she devoted her life to helping special needs children. She later became the Special Education Curriculum Coordinator for Greenville County until her retirement in 2008. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Dacusville.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her daughter, Sonya Emily of Easley.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Jacobs.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
