Sandra Ann Hendricks, 77, of Dacusville Highway, passed away Sunday April 15, 2018.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Hazel Stegall Hendricks.
Sandra was a graduate of Easley High School and worked several different jobs, her last job was a custodian at Pickens High School. She was a charter member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. After retirement, she enjoyed numerous bus tours all over the United States. She loved cooking and trying new recipes. She was the one who always prepared the turkey, dressing and gravy for family Thanksgiving meals. At Christmas, it was party mix for everybody and New Year's Day for many years, she cooked black-eyed peas, collards and cornbread for her nephews. Her entire family benefited from her love of cooking.
One of Sandra's favorite things to do was to meet friends at the walking track at a local gym early every morning for walking and socializing. Another favorite activity was going to watch her niece, Hannah Grace, play softball all the years from little league to high school varsity. She got to know and love many of the players over the years and enjoyed spending time with them.
Surviving are her sisters, Mary Bryson and Gail Elgin; a brother Felix Hendricks, Jr. (JoAnn); sister-in-law, Carol Chastain; nieces, April Mahaffey (Bo), Alexis Mahaffey, Jordan Bryson, Hannah Bryson and Tammy Morris; and nephews, Brent Bryson (Kim), Alex Bryson, Neil Elgin and Tim Hendricks.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Jesse Hendricks.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service, on Thursday, from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Hill Baptist Church, 501 Rampey Street, Easley, SC 29640.
The family will be at their respective homes.
