Mrs. Sandra Nell Garrison Jackson, 68, wife of Norman R. Jackson, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, to the late John E. and Elenora Goetz Garrison, Sandra was a joyful person that loved finding the positive side of everything in life. She worked as a secretary at the Naval Institute in Maryland for many years until her retirement. Mrs. Jackson enjoyed cooking and also doing crafts, such as making her own jewelry and blankets, and even took up crocheting. Aside from crafts, Sandra loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her pomeranian, Cinnamon. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Jamie Childress (David "Chilly") of Easley, Valerie Hall (Roger "Buck") of Norris, and Jennifer James and her fianc� Garland of Pasadena, MD; two sisters, Norva Sibley and Doris Gibbs (Dennis); six grandchildren, Christopher and Rodney Childress, Lana and Jason Miller, and Corey and Catlin Hall; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, a sister; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Childress.

A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 26, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with the Reverend Rick Millwood officiating. Mrs. Jackson's grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will immediately following the service.

The family is at the residence.
