Sandra Ann Reed, 78, of Easley, SC, passed away April 11, 2021 at Foothills Presbyterian Home.
Born in Cuba, NY, she was the daughter of Edward and Fern Wakefield Hernblom. Sandy graduated from Friendship Central High School and SUNY Cortland. She received her Master's degree from Edinburgh University. She taught Earth Science in Harbour Creek School System in Erie, PA. After retiring from public school teaching, she taught classes at Penn State Behrend Campus.
Sandy married Gordon Reed on July 17, 1965. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2015. In addition Sandy was predeceased by her parents, brother Stuart, and nephew Reed.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Carole and her nieces, Robin, Anastasia and Arianna.
Private burial will take place in Robinson Memorial Gardens, Easley, South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pickens County Humane Society, PO Box 83, Liberty, SC 29657.
