Sandra "Sandy" Alexander Murray, 64, of 300 Monroe Drive, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at her residence.
Born in Springfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and June Hildebran Alexander, Sandy attended Ohio State University and graduated from Columbus Business University. She and her husband moved to South Carolina in 1992. Sandy was employed by Ohio State University for fourteen years and more recently with Clemson University, retiring in 2007.
Surviving are her husband Dennis Murray of the home, with whom she shared thirty-six years of marriage; a sister, Nancy Craycraft and husband, John, of Springfield; two brothers, Terry Alexander and wife, Pam, of Kingsport, TN, and Steve Alexander of Kettering, OH. In addition to her parents, Sandy was predeceased by a sister, June Bryant and a brother, Robert Alexander.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon, OH. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
