Mrs. Sara Hinton Day, 87, wife of the late Clomer Earl Day, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Charlie Francis Hinton, Sr. and the late Vera Mae George Hinton, Mrs. Day retired from the Bibb Company and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where she belonged to the Willing Worker's Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a daughter, Jackie Day Pressley (Richard) of Easley; three sisters, Bobbie Jean Turner of Westminster, Betty Joe Lesley of Greenville and Lois Ledbetter of Fernandina Beach, FL; a granddaughter, Erin Armstrong (Stewart) of Easley; and two great-grandchildren, Jorja and Taylor Fox. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Day was predeceased by two brothers, Charlie Francis Hinton, Jr. and Jack LaRue Hinton; two sisters, Thelma Dobbins and Georgia Mae Roberson; and a grandson, Jason Pressley.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 7, 2017 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. Jim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Richard Pressley.
